Understanding Latinx history is critical to the story that draws us together as diverse Americans. In this webinar, Paul Ortiz will cover champions in Latinx history, drawing on primary source documents that can be used in the classroom. Ortiz will highlight how Latinx intellectuals and organizers have historically urged the United States to build bridges of solidarity with the nations of the Americas.

Paul Ortiz is a professor of history and director of the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program at the University of Florida. He is a National Archives Distinguished Scholar in Latinx History for 2022-2023.
