Lorraine Daston is an accomplished Historian of Science, a member of the Committee of Social Thought at the University of Chicago, Director Emeritus of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of the History of Science in Berlin, and she is currently a visiting fellow at the National Humanities Center at the Research Triangle in North Carolina.
