Hi! My name is Renee Kreczmer. I am the mother to three adorable and smart little dogs. I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and two Master’s degrees from University of Illinois and Northern Illinois University. I teach third and fourth grade Writing and Social Studies for Chicago Public Schools. I’m lucky to live in a city with such a rich history, and enjoy visiting historic sites in other cities.
My love of history began when I started teaching it to third graders and I have subsequently authored a children’s history book of Chicago titled Just Add Water: Making the City of Chicago. On those rare occasions when I have energy after the school week and after school work I enjoy going to concerts, reading, taking photographs (of bands), or just lying on the couch with my three fur babies
