Analyzing Presidential Primary Documents with the Library of Congress

Analyzing Presidential Primary Documents with the Library of Congress

December 17, 2020 | by

On December 17th, Pete Souza provided NCHE members and guests with an engaging discussion of his iconic White House photographs, and what they mean for America. Pete’s photographs of the Reagan and Obama administrations are available to the public through the National Archives. Whether you are a history educator, a history enthusiast, or just someone who likes amazing images, you should also check out the incredible presidential images available through the Library of Congress. Below we provide a collection of Presidential images from the Library of Congress for use in a classroom, or for your personal enjoyment. Make sure you check out the interactive Library of Congress Document Analysis Tool, part of the Library of Congress Teachers Page, as you analyze these great images.
