Teaching Native American Students with Primary Source Inquiry

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma – Jones Academy will host professional development during November and December for teachers to learn how to integrate materials from the Library of Congress and other archival institutions (including historical documents, photographs, letters, maps, and oral histories) into inquiry-based lessons. These lessons will encourage students to analyze, interpret, and draw evidence-based conclusions from authentic historical sources, fostering deeper understanding of the past.
