What Our Attendees Say About NCHE’s National Conference:
- This conference is an excellent way to connect with social studies educators across the country. It is set in an atmosphere of relax and learn instead of the usual hurry and get that comes with most PD models. If you can take the time and have the funds for the escape, it is well worth it!
- What I love most about NCHE conferences is the connection. Being surrounded by educators from across the country who are passionate about history and how we teach it is incredible. I always leave with new ideas, fresh perspectives, and a renewed excitement to teach that keeps me inspired. The networking is invaluable—meeting like-minded professionals and learning from one another in meaningful ways. The historic locations and excursions make the experience even more powerful because we’re not just learning about history—we’re standing in it. Every conference deepens my knowledge and strengthens my commitment to bringing engaging, meaningful history to students across my district.
- I went in not knowing what to expect. It was PHENOMENAL!! So many great ideas!! The Rosa Park excursion was great!! The Hariott II was amazing!! Getting to talk to so many different teachers was awesome!!
- Attending the NCHE Conference was a truly rewarding experience. From the invaluable insights gained in the sessions to the opportunity to network with fellow educators across the country, I am returning to my classroom inspired. Hearing Charles Mauldin speak was a definitive highlight, and I am already looking forward to next year’s event!
- Attending the NCHE History Conference was an unforgettable experience! The lineup of keynote speakers was truly amazing, offering inspiring perspectives and thought-provoking insights into the field of Diasporas: Histories Movement and Cultural Exchange. The presentations throughout the conference were delivered by enthusiastic and engaging presenters who made every session dynamic and interactive. I left with a wealth of wonderful resources that I can’t wait to bring back to my classroom, enriching my teaching and sparking excitement among my students. Highly recommended for anyone passionate about history education!
- My first experience at NCHE was outstanding. Everyone was so welcoming, even though I traveled by myself. Everyone was helpful–from answering questions to guiding me where to go and what to do.
- NCHE continues to be a national conference that feels like a small, regional conference in all the best ways. Connecting with others who share a passion for history in a historical city makes it all the more better. NCHE pays attention to the details and feedback you provide to offer the best experience they can. 10/10 will always recommend!
- NCHE was like a reunion of the best and brightest and most caring of history teachers. It rejuvenated me!
- This conference is like a perfect small city–big enough to have everything you need, but intimate enough to not feel overwhelming. I look forward to it every year.
