Description
What can we learn from receipts? In this webinar, we will explore what life was like in Revolutionary period Philadelphia through a few of the numerous economic documents left behind. Using primary sources from the American Philosophical Society and TheRevolutionaryCity.org project we will demonstrate how historians reconstruct the past from these seemingly unremarkable documents. Educators will also learn about the exciting resources available through TheRevolutionaryCity.org and the American Philosophical Society.
