Interested in getting more involved in history education?

From annual professional development conferences to webinars and social networking, the state councils bring history educators, university faculty and public historians together to learn the latest in effective history teaching and learning. Each council operates independently so they all have their special programs and activities. Check them out to learn more what is going on in your state!

If your state is not on the roster, then consider starting your own state council. The first step is to contact the NCHE office to find out about how to begin the process. We can help you connect with resources in your state but it’s important to personally reach out to your colleagues and invite them to join your efforts.
